Privacy
In short: ToolHarbor processes your files and input entirely in your browser. There are no uploads, no user accounts, no cookies and no tracking.
What happens to your files and input
When you use a tool – converting an image, merging PDFs or counting words, for example – your browser reads the file or text into your device’s memory and computes the result there. The result is offered as a download or for copying.
Nothing is sent to a server in the process: not the file or any part of it, not file names, text, numbers you calculate with or passwords. Once you close or reload the page, the data is gone from memory. Temporary download links are released after processing.
How it works technically
This is a static website. All program libraries (for example for PDF editing and ZIP archives), fonts and icons are loaded from this website itself – not from third parties or CDNs.
Every page sets a Content Security Policy that blocks connections to other servers. This is an additional safeguard: scripts can neither load code from elsewhere nor send data to other servers via network requests.
What we do not do
- no cookies and no browser storage (localStorage or similar)
- no analytics or tracking tools, no advertising, no social media embeds
- no user accounts, no database, no upload server
- no URL shortener and no stored redirects
When you visit the website
As with any website, your browser sends technically necessary connection data (such as IP address, time, requested address and browser identifier) to the web server hosting this site when it fetches the pages. Whether and for how long such access logs are kept depends on the hosting provider. This data relates only to fetching the pages – not to your files or input.
Clipboard and downloads
The clipboard is only written to when you click “Copy”. Downloads are created by your browser directly from memory.
