JPG to PNG

Saves JPG photos as PNG. Handy when an app expects PNG, or when you want to keep editing an image without losing quality every time you save.

Processed locally: your files are handled entirely in this browser and are never uploaded to a server.

How it works

  1. Choose one or more JPG files.
  2. Click “Convert to PNG”.
  3. Download the PNG files individually or together as a ZIP.

Notes and limitations

  • PNG is lossless – so for photos the file is usually much larger than the JPG.
  • Existing JPG artefacts remain; converting does not improve image quality.
  • Transparency does not appear by magic: a JPG has no transparent background, so neither does the PNG.
  • EXIF metadata is not carried over; orientation is applied first.

Frequently asked questions

Will PNG make my image look better?

No. Lost detail does not come back. PNG simply prevents further losses when you keep editing.
