How it works
- Choose your JPG files.
- Set the quality (80–85% is a good balance).
- Convert and download – each file shows how much space you saved.
Notes and limitations
- Safari can display WebP but cannot create it. Please use Chrome, Edge or Firefox for this tool – otherwise you get a clear error instead of a wrong file.
- Whether WebP ends up smaller depends on the image. The actual saving is shown after converting.
- Metadata (EXIF) is not carried over.
Frequently asked questions
Can every device open WebP?
All current browsers display WebP. Older image viewers or office versions may struggle – JPG is the safe choice then.
