How it works

Notes and limitations
- A word is a run of letters or digits. “e-mail” and “don’t” count as one word.
- Word detection uses your browser’s language rules; for languages without spaces (such as Japanese) results may differ from other programs.
- Word and Google Docs occasionally count slightly differently, e.g. for numbers with dots or for dashes.
