How it works
- Choose one or more HEIC files.
- Click “Convert to PNG”.
- Download the images individually or as a ZIP.
Notes and limitations
- PNG is lossless, so the files are considerably larger than HEIC or JPG. For sharing photos, “HEIC to JPG” is usually the better choice.
- Transparency stored in the HEIC file (alpha channel) is preserved. Rotation is applied.
- Camera metadata (EXIF, location) is not carried over. Not every HEIC variant is supported; you will get a message for files that cannot be read.
Frequently asked questions
Why is the PNG so much bigger than the HEIC?
HEIC compresses with loss, PNG stores every pixel exactly. The larger size is the price for lossless editing.
