How it works
- Paste JSON or choose a .json file.
- Choose “Format”, “Minify” or “Validate only”, plus indentation and key sorting.
- Click “Process JSON” and copy or download the result.
Notes and limitations
- The page uses its own parser: errors are reported with line, column and a hint, and duplicate keys are flagged.
- Numbers and strings are output exactly as entered – very large integers are not rounded.
- JSON with comments or single quotes is reported as invalid, as required by the standard (RFC 8259).
Frequently asked questions
Why does it say “trailing comma”?
JSON does not allow a comma after the last element of an object or array. Remove the comma before the closing bracket.
