How it works
- Choose one or more AVIF files.

- Download the images individually or as a ZIP.
Notes and limitations
- Decoding uses your browser’s AVIF support (current Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari 16 or newer).
- Transparency is preserved. PNG files are considerably larger than AVIF.
- Animated AVIF files are converted to a single image.
Frequently asked questions
Does converting improve quality?
No. PNG keeps the decoded image exactly, but cannot restore details that the AVIF compression removed.
