Crop PDF

Trims unwanted margins from PDF pages – for example wide white borders on scans or slides – and keeps text and graphics fully sharp.

How it works

  1. Choose a PDF file – a preview of the first page appears.
  2. Enter the margins to remove in millimetres or click “Detect margins automatically”.
  3. Optionally limit the pages, click “Crop PDF” and download the result.

Notes and limitations

  • By default only the visible area (CropBox) is changed: the hidden content stays in the file and could be restored with other software. Choose “Shrink pages permanently” to also change the page size (MediaBox).
  • The margins refer to the page as you see it, including rotation.
  • Automatic detection looks at the first page; other pages may need different values.

Frequently asked questions

Is the cropped content really deleted?

No – cropping hides the area. If you need to remove sensitive content, do not rely on cropping; use a redaction tool instead.
