PDF to PNG

Turns each page of a PDF – or only the pages you pick – into a sharp PNG image. Ideal for diagrams, screenshots and graphics with text.

Processed locally: your files are handled entirely in this browser and are never uploaded to a server.

How it works

  1. Choose one or more PDF files.
  2. Pick a resolution and, if you like, limit the pages, e.g. “1-3, 5”.
  3. Click “Convert to PNG” and download single pages or a ZIP.

Notes and limitations

  • PNG is lossless: text and lines stay crisp, but files are larger than JPG. For photos, “PDF to JPG” is usually the better choice.
  • With “Transparent background”, areas without content stay transparent. Many PDFs paint a white page background themselves – it then remains white.
  • Very large pages are scaled down automatically to protect your device’s memory. Password-protected PDFs cannot be opened.

Frequently asked questions

Why are my PNG files so large?

PNG stores every pixel without loss. Lower the resolution (e.g. 150 dpi) or use “PDF to JPG” for pages with photos.
