How it works
- Choose an image.
- Drag rectangles over the areas to hide – or enter position and size and click “Add area”. Without areas, the whole image is processed.
- Choose the effect and strength, then click “Apply”.
Notes and limitations
- For really sensitive information (passwords, IDs), a black bar is the safest choice – strong pixelation of very short text can sometimes be guessed.
- The changes are written into the pixels of the new file; the original stays unchanged.
- Metadata such as location is not carried over to the result.
Frequently asked questions
Can pixelation be reversed?
Not exactly, but with very small blocks and short text, guessing is possible. Use a strong setting or the black bar for confidential content.
