View or remove EXIF data
Shows which hidden information your photos contain – camera, date, often the exact location – and creates clean copies without it.
Processed locally: your files are handled entirely in this browser and are never uploaded to a server.

How it works
- Choose one or more images (JPG, PNG, WebP).
- Choose “Show” to inspect the metadata or “Remove” to create cleaned copies.
- Start and check the table or download the cleaned images.
Notes and limitations
- Only data that is actually contained in the file is shown. Manufacturer-specific data (MakerNote) is listed by size only.
- Removing works without recompression: the image data stays bit-for-bit identical, only metadata blocks are dropped. The rotation can be kept so that photos are not displayed sideways.
- The colour profile (ICC) is kept by default because removing it can change colours; it contains no personal data.
Frequently asked questions
Does this remove the location from my photos?
Yes. GPS coordinates are stored in the EXIF block, which is removed completely. The cleaned copy then contains no location.
